django CMS 3.8.0 RC1 released

We are pleased to announce the first django CMS release under the banner of the newly founded django CMS Association.

Many heads were put together to get this release up on its feet. Many thanks to all involved!

django CMS 3.8.0 RC1 Release is now available. This release concentrates on introducing support for Django 3.1 and drops support for Python 2.7 and 3.4. It also removes support for Django versions below 2.2.

How to get it

Version 3.8.0 RC1 is available for installation in several different ways:

  • on Divio - try it in a ready-to-deploy new project using Aldryn Django CMS 3.8.0.1
  • via pip (pip install django-cms==3.8.0rc1)
  • directly from GitHub
