Fabian Braun

March 4, 2025

February was a month full of activity and progress for the django CMS community! From exciting new releases to valuable contributions from our amazing developers, here's a recap of what we accomplished.

๐Ÿ›ณ๏ธ New Releases

djangocms-moderation 2.2.2 Now on PyPi!

We are thrilled to announce the release of djangocms-moderation 2.2.2, now available not only on GitHub but also on PyPi! This marks a significant milestone, making it easier for the community to integrate a structured content approval workflow into their projects.

For over five years, djangocms-moderation has been running on enterprise sites, enhancing Django CMS and django CMS Versioning by adding a robust content approval system. The tool allows:

  • Submission of changes for review

  • Defined roles like editors, reviewers, and publishers to manage approvals

  • Content moving through states like "Draft" and "Pending Review" before publication

  • Grouping related changes for batch approval

  • Inline comments and seamless integration with django CMS

With improved stability and usability, we are now confident that djangocms-moderation is ready for broader community adoption. Try it out and let us know your feedback!
