y2023 General Assembly of the django CMS Association

On Oct 1st the django CMS Association held its annual General Assembly meeting. Amongst other topics, two new members joined the Association Board.

Amongst other updates, this year's meeting brought fresh faces and renewed leadership to the Association’s Board:

  • President: Mario Colombo was re-elected as President.
  • Vice President: A warm welcome to Mike Barrett, Founder and Managing Director of Compound Partners Ltd, who joins the Board as Vice President! We’re excited about the expertise and fresh energy Mike brings to the team.
  • Secretary: Continuing his dedication to the association, Joel Burch was re-elected as Secretary, ensuring the smooth coordination of our efforts.
  • Treasurer: We're also excited to have Arthur Macherel, Head of Finance at Divio AG, join the Board as Treasurer. Welcome Arthur!
  • Auditor: Finally, Jon Levin was re-elected as Auditor, maintaining his crucial role in ensuring transparency and integrity in our operations.

We want to thank everyone who participated and for placing their trust in the django CMS leadership team. This Board is ready to keep pushing the django CMS Association to the next level in the coming year. Stay tuned for exciting initiatives and growth as we continue building together.

django CMS 5.1 is here: easier setup, flexible deployments, and a fresh editing experience

This release reduces friction across the whole project lifecycle: creating a new project, adding django CMS to an existing Django application, configuring larger deployments, controlling which plugins editors can use, and working with the CMS every day.

django CMS 5.0.9 released: security, accessibility, and stability improvements

This release addresses three medium-severity security vulnerabilities and includes improvements to accessibility, Django compatibility, permissions, Content Security Policy support, and general editor stability.
