After almost one year of development we are very proud to announce a release candidate 1 for django-cms 2.

5 minutes read

The new features compared to 1.0 are endless and best covered by the docs.

At this moment we got 2 open tickets we want to fix before a release of 2.0. If everybody could grap this version and troughoutly test it, we can be sure to release a stable version.

We will follow the python/django release numbering. 2.0.X will be bugfixes for the 2.0 version.

Today also marks the day we will start with the development of 2.1 and we have some nice new features planed for this release. I also hope we will see some major refactoring to more modularize the whole package and to make it easier to use its components in other apps.

So what are you waiting for? Get the RC1!

Release

django CMS 5.1 is here: easier setup, flexible deployments, and a fresh editing experience

This release reduces friction across the whole project lifecycle: creating a new project, adding django CMS to an existing Django application, configuring larger deployments, controlling which plugins editors can use, and working with the CMS every day.

Release

django CMS 5.0.9 released: security, accessibility, and stability improvements

This release addresses three medium-severity security vulnerabilities and includes improvements to accessibility, Django compatibility, permissions, Content Security Policy support, and general editor stability.
